$upport public broadca$ting

Public Broadcasting System / PBS stations are blown away by the support we get from our community, & the stories we tell of all the amazing people who live here. Thank you for making it happen! As a national system of public broadcasters, we are resolved to continue telling powerful stories of our local communities, while being responsible stewards of the faith & trust you put in us with your financial support.

Whenever the United States Congress debates a new budget, financial support for Public Broadcasting System is more important than ever! We need your financial support to continue the great work you know & love & to send a message to our US Congress that the public / private relationship of PBS & National Public Radio is something you value as an investment as a US citizen. The conversation in Washington about what’s important for our budget reminds me of the story when Ken Burns showed his great Civil War documentary at the White House. After the screening US President Reagan put his hands on Ken’s shoulders & said, “We need more public / private investments like PBS, where federal dollars are combined with private donations to maximize impacts & create great content like your film.”

US President Reagan was right, with $1.35 from each taxpayer a year, combined with your generous financial support, we create thousands of minutes of content that educates, enlightens & explores our community & our world for stories that speak to the best of humanity. We need your financial & vocal support of public broadcasting.  Visit www.KTTZ.org for our pledge schedule & pledge items.

Also, go to www.ProtectMyPublicMedia.org for tools on emailing your lawmakers, social media images to share & show your support, as well as information about the important role public broadcasting plays in American society.  Thank you, it is because of your generous support that we can continue this timeless & ever-important mission.
