La Belle Shipwreck Exhibit Opening

After 19 years, our favorite ship is finally coming to her permanent home in the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum.  The La Belle shipwreck exhibit held several private openings and then opened for the general public on October 25 (http://www.thestoryoftexas.com/la-belle).  We are starting to re-assemble the ship’s hull and prepare for the grand opening of the permanent exhibit in November 2015.

Jim and I will be working at the Museum Wednesdays through Saturdays until May 17.  If you can’t get to Austin, you can tune in and watch the re-assembly live on the Bullock Museum’s website (www.thestoryoftexas.com) or on The History Channel’s website (http://www.history.com/).  The webcam will be installed this week and should be up and running in the next couple of weeks.
