Sign up for TX Hunger Initiative’s Community Partner Program:


The Texas Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) has created a new online system that allows Texans to apply online for food benefits such as (SNAP) & medical assistance such as  Medicaid & the Children’s Health Program (CHIP). The new system allows applicants & recipients 24/7 access to their cases so that they can renew their benefits, update case information & print out materials such as Medicaid cards.


The Texas Hunger Initiative has partnered with HHSC to recruit community-based organizations to serve as community partners & provide application & case assistance to eligible residents.  The program is free to participate in & all organizations need is a computer with an internet connection. Community Partners will receive training, certification for staff & reports that show how many people they are helping.
