Recovery for young people living with active alcoholics in the Lubbock / northwest TX-area: 800-873-0585 & 806-438-6010

It’s very difficult when a parent, stepparent, grandparent, friend, sibling, or any one else in one’s life has a drinking problem. It affects how young people are treated and it shapes their world. Alateen meetings are where teens can find support and understanding from people their own age who are going through similar difficulties.

Alateen is part of the Al-Anon Family Groups; Al-Anon meetings are for anyone affected by someone else’s drinking.  The Lubbock Alateen Group meets every Monday at 7p at the Southwest Group at 2323 66th Street, Ste D (1 block east from the southeast corner of the University Ave. & 66th St. intersection — on the south side of 66th St.:  www.LubbockMap.com).  The age group is from 12 to 19 years old.

If you have any questions, please contact the Alateen Group Sponsor, Kaye P. at 806-438-6010 &/or 800-873-0585.

But if you ever have any doubts about your loved ones needing Alateen, keep this in mind: You don’t have to drink to suffer from alcoholism.
