Adoption Partners should receive a confirmation e-mail saying “TAGGED.”  If you do not receive this e-mail, it means that the animal has not yet been tagged for your group.

· Adoption Partners must only send people that are on their current “pull lists” so that the correct animal goes to the correct Adoption Partner.  If your pick-up person is not on the current pull list, please have the president of your group immediately send an email to Lynn.Trotter@ArlingtonTX.Gov; Samantha.Castillo@ArlingtonTX.Gov stating that you wish to add that person. Community Outreach provides low-cost, cat– & dog-vaccinations, heartworm test, etc. from 1p5p on the last Friday of each month at Arlington Animal Services; 1000 S.E. Groups wishing to utilize transporters (who are not members of their group), now have the option of printing & completing the Transfer Out

Contact www.ArlingtonTX.Gov/animals/pdf/animalrescueorganization_TransferOutContract.pdf  It will need to be scanned & e-mailed back (or faxed) with the tag … along with a copy of the driver’s license of the person signing the contract as the group member (Please indicate whether you are faxing or attaching a copy of the Transfer Out contract with a copy of your Drivers License. Fax# 817-459-5698).  The signed contract will remove the responsibility of providing proof of spay/neuter from the people who are transporters only. Transporters will be sent with a copy of this Contract at the time of pick up. They will also sign it as a transporter & provide a copy of their driver’s license — just in case there are any issues.

Animals on the Urgent List are currently only being held on a day-to-day, space-available basis unless they have a specified Tag time & Pick up Date. Space is currently very limited!

· Which of your representatives will be picking up the animal?   · When you will be picking the animal up? (same day as tag or no later than close of business day the following day)   · What other services are being requested, if any, & how payment will be handled (rabies $10, dh2pp/bordatella $5.50, fvrcp $2.50, heartworm test $5.50, cat combo test $12.50, microchip $5.50, de-worming $1, frontline/advantage $2)

No Adoption Partner will transfer an animal accepted from AAS to another group (rescue group, agency, organization, shelter, sanctuary etc.) that is not an AAS-approved placement partner — without the approval of AAS.

Transporters are required to have carriers to transport animals in safely especially if they are transporting multiple animals. Transporters without proper containment devices will be turned away.

Adoptions are completed on a first-come, first-serve basis, & customers who come to the shelter have first precedence.

We only perform over-the-phone adoptions for animals on the Urgent List.
