Discounted vetting available locally.   With the shelter being FULL, Owner Surrenders are at risk of Euthanasia ANY TIME!     Please note: Receiving rescue MUST call the vet clinic to make arrangements to cover any fees incurred. Fees MUST be paid before the dog’s records will be released, & a credit card or other arrangement must be in place before the animal arrives at the clinic.  IMPORTANT: Once your rescue has committed & confirmed rescue of an animal & the request has been made that TWHRA move the animal to local vet/local boarding on your behalf, do understand that this animal is now the responsibility of your rescue. If the animal falls ill, transport is delayed, or for whatever reason you are unable to take the animal, your rescue assumes financial responsibility of the animal. If your rescue is no longer able to take the animal, it is the responsibility of your rescue to make arrangements to transfer the animal to another rescue or find placement for the animal elsewhere. TWHRA is not a shelter & animals cannot be “returned” to us once we remove them from the shelter on your behalf, nor will we return an animal to the shelter itself on behalf of your rescue.  The individual-animal information is all the information the shelter sends to us.  If you need additional information or are interested at all in a cat &/or dog, PLEASE contact us asap (it could take a day for us to get more information for you especially if you email us after the shelter has closed for the day).  It is difficult for us to arrange transport & vetting/boarding at the last minute!  Don’t wait until the last minute if you can help:  these lives are in imminent danger! We must have time to arrange transport & make any other arrangements! Time is of the essence!  This is a small rural shelter that serves five counties. 99% of these animals won’t make it out of the shelter alive without rescue. PLEASE take a look & give these innocents a chance to live! Please feel free to share & crosspost with your reputable rescue contacts. No Craigslist or Internet Classified.  Follow this week’s animals:   www.facebook.com/TheWayHomeRescueAlliance
